Introduction to the bible reading plan:
This is a 23 week (1/2 a year) plan. It starts in January and July. Readers will go through 2 week mini-plans to learn the basics. Reading time: 10 minutes a day.
More Info
The introduction to the bible reading plan is aimed at new believers who need to learn the basics. The two week reading courses will take you quickly through the passages that every Christian should know. These are the verses that are frequently quoted or referred to elsewhere. They are easy to read and understand.
The plan is split up into 10 two week courses that will begin with the life and teachings of Jesus, go briefly into the old testament, learn about the women and men of the bible, and end with God, nature, and creation. At the end there are 3 more courses that I made one week each so that the plan would take 6 months to complete. These are quick study courses about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and the exodus, and David. The plan should take about 10 minutes a day.
The plan is adopted from the 3 track reading course found in the Student Bible NIV Revised Edition.
Guided tour of the bible reading plan:
This is a 180 days (1/2 a year) plan. It starts in January and July. Readers will start at the beginning and get a birds eye view of the bible. Reading time: 15 minutes a day.
More Info
The guided tour of the Bible reading plan offers a kind of bird's-eye-view. It includes at least 1 chapter from each of the Bible's 66 books. The plan is similar to the Introduction to the Bible reading plan, but takes it one step further. It is for the most part in chronological order, except mainly for psalms, which tie in with the 2 books of Samuel (David's life).
The plan is 180 days, and should take about 15 minutes a day. It is from the 3 track reading course found in the Student Bible NIV Revised Edition.
Full devotion bible reading plan:
This plan is an all year plan that will lead you through the old testament once and the new testament twice. Reading time: around 20-30 minutes a day.
More Info
This plan is aimed towards the believers who are ready to really study the bible; it goes through the complete Old Testament and the New Testament twice in a 12 month period. It is in nearly chronological order, with psalms throughout the year. The plan's creator recommends that you do your reading at a specific quiet devotional time each day, and try to catch up if you miss a day. If you feel like this plan is too much for each day, I do have a similar plan that is stretched to 3 years, with shorter passages.
This plan is from Fullgrowth Ministries in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
There is an alternative 3 year plan to read the full bible if anyone is interested email for info.
