Community:

Mountain View is nestled between Vail and Aspen in a resort community of approximately 11,000 in population. It is largely a tourist-oriented community in the Roaring Fork Valley which is experiencing tremendous population growth.

Personality:

In the world of evangelicals, Mountain View maintains a moderate position of balance. We emphasize strong biblical preaching and teaching, yet we intend to balance correct doctrine with practical application. We believe that all who are born again by God's Spirit are commanded to love each other. We are convinced that division and conflict among believers is Satan's favorite strategy. We work toward conformity to the righteousness of Christ in our behavior and conduct. We do not intend to be a "worldly church" nor do we intend to major on the "do's and don'ts." We are finding the Holy Spirit able to be trusted to produce a holiness of life. The spirit of the fellowship is warm and loving. We work hard at keeping a small group feeling even though we have been experiencing great growth.
