Slam Dunk Sermon Series: Part 2- Rested and Connected
Scripture: Mark 6: 30-32
We continue with our Slam Dunk Sermon Series. As a basketball shot, slam dunks are simple and straightforward, and when approached correctly a slam dunk is a win you can count on. During this sermon series we are exploring slam dunk themes from the Bible, truths you can count on. Its been said that “no man (or woman) is an island”—this is painfully apparent as we count the costs of living isolated and over-stressed lives. Today we consider the importance of being well-rested and connected for the flourishing life that God intends for us.

Scripture: Ephesians 2:1-10
Of all the shots in basketball the slam dunk is the most direct–sure thing there is. It’s simple and straightforward, and when approached correctly a slam dunk is a win you can count on. For the next 6 weeks we will explore slam dunk themes from the Bible. Starting with the theme of Identity, these are clear and consistent ideas that run throughout Scripture, and when lived out they represent wins that you can count on!
