The Roaring Fork Fellows program will have you learning and working for nine months (September-May) in a stunning area where people come to unwind. Develop your work skills and grow as a whole-life follower of Christ alongside other young adults. Program host churches—Mountain View Church (Glenwood Springs) and Grace Church (Basalt)— are situated in the idyllic Roaring Fork River valley of Colorado, and will provide you the connection and creative space to come to know Christ and His people in meaningful ways.
Internships in this region may include: financial services, health care, engineering, retail/small business, construction trades, hospitality and recreation operations, et. al. Potential fellows with other career interests are welcome to discuss additional employment possibilities with our program director.
Weekly theology classes will position you to think deeply and practically about vital topics including: faith + work integration, honing core spiritual practices, exploring the Bible’s grand narrative and understanding God’s design for intentional community. Your vocational mentor will give you access to the life God has shaped in him or her, and will also help serve as friend, guide, and supporter, as you pursue your own journey ahead.
Your fellow’s group will have opportunity to get to know each other as you hike, raft, bike, ski, and soak together in the world’s largest hot springs. That said, thoughtful discipleship and authentic community will be prime take-aways from your fellow’s year, as you learn to hold the beauty of the gospel together in the pursuit of daily life.
