Our Staff and Elders

Meet the people who keep everything running smoothly!

Lead Pastor

Steve Grosz

Steve is the Lead Pastor at Mountain View Church. Over the past 19 years he has had opportunity to serve in various roles in church ministry including: camp and conference speaker, college pastor, and 15 years experience as a lead pastor. Steve graduated from North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago and is currently pursuing a doctorate at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.

Though education and experience are certainly blessings, the real value of both has been to reveal a simple truth. Namely, that God in His love and forgiveness is the first mover in a radically renewed life. As God draws people into a relationship with Himself—and they respond in authentic faith and surrender—new community is created.

In addition to their MVC family, Steve and Michelle have been blessed with two children, Daniel and Abigail, and are reveling in reading bedtime stories and playing endless games of hide and seek.

Administrative Assistant and Children's Ministry

Mary Jean Carnevale

Mary Jean serves as the administrative assistant and children's ministry coordinator. She has over 25 years experience working in the fields of administration and children/youth programs. In addition to her church work, Mary Jean enjoys crafting and is active in local craft shows. For Mary Jean there is no greater calling than discipleship. There are so many blessings to be found when people join together to further the kingdom of God.

Music Ministry Developer

Brian Harris

Christ came into Brian's life in 1979 right here at Mountain View Church. From that time on he has loved music with a message, and for him that is Christian music. In 1991 a contemporary worship team began at Mountain View Church and Brian has been involved up front for 30 wonderful and exciting years! Brian's desire is to help the music ministry of Mountain View Church flourish and grow, as musicians and artists hone their callings to lift up the name of Christ.

Daryl has a passion to welcome young adults to the Roaring Fork Valley and help them on their path of faith + work discipleship.
