Steve is the Lead Pastor at MVC. Over the past 17 years he has had opportunity to serve in various roles in church ministry including: camp and conference speaker, college pastor, and 13 years’ experience as a lead pastor. Steve graduated from North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago and is currently pursuing a doctorate at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.
Though education and experience are certainly blessings, the real value of both has been to reveal a simple truth. Namely, that God in His love and forgiveness is the first mover in a radically renewed life. As God draws people into a relationship with Himself—and they respond in authentic faith and surrender—a new community with a unique hope is created.
Steve, Michelle, and their son Daniel are recent refugees from Minnesota. They are looking forward to milder winters and are already enjoying doing life with the MVC family—a family that seeks to be real with the joys/struggles of living on purpose together for Christ.

Administrative Assistant and Children’s Ministry Coordinator
I am excited to be coordinating the children’s ministry and working as the administrative assistant at Mountain View Church. The position of children’s ministry coordinator offers a wonderful opportunity for me to share my love of God and His teachings with children. I worked with the Mother of Preschool Program (MOPS) for 20 years and was involved with at-risk youth programs for 24 years. All my experience has helped me realize that every child of God is special, talented, and has immense potential. As administrative assistant, it is my privilege to be serve God by assisting His people and following as He leads.
I have been apart of MVC for as long as I can remember. Being born and raised in the valley has been a blessing. I am currently a college student at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. I am studying Child and Family Services and hope to have a minor in Leadership Studies or Communications. I also run Cross Country and Track for ACU. I have big goals and dreams with being a Division 1 athlete, but I know God has even bigger ones for me. I’m excited to begin this learning experience in working with the youth ministry and my local community. I’ve always wanted to serve families of various stories, share my story, and share the great things God has done. I’m glad to have this opportunity!
I am a student at Western Washington University, but am originally from right here in Glenwood Springs! I have attended MVC since I first started middle school and have grown up in it ever since. I am very excited to work with our kids this summer, walking in the footsteps of my mentors before me. Also, I look forward to working with all of you!
